I bought this for my 5 year old son as a Christmas gift. This was his first experience with the "small" Legos since we had only Duplos up to this point. I was fully assuming that my husband or myself would have to sit and assemble this with him or possibly even do it ourselves while he watched. Well, the directions were great and had only pictures, and with some minimal guidance in the beginning he was able to assemble the entire thing on his own. It kept him occupied and with all the careful attention that went into it was a great confidence builder and source of pride for him.The truck, trailer and boat themselves are very cool. The boat actually floats in water and can be used as a tub toy. The truck had tons of tiny detail (even a coffee mug for the driver) that made it realistic. It comes with little helmets and life jackets for the Lego men and the trailer has a collapsable dollie.All in all, a great toy!
