This entire series is jaw dropping cool! I adore this set and so does my son! I originally purchased a different set in this same series for my son's birthday. He's 12 and is very into Lego, but also very into video games and more 'mature' things. He had never mentioned this series and so purchasing something he hadn't specifically asked for was a big risk, but I absolutely fell in love with this series at the store so I picked up a galaxy Squad set and brought it home and wrapped it up and hoped for the best.My son LOVED it!! It was SUCH a HUGE hit in our house! Everyone adored it from my youngest son to my elderly mother! So for the holidays I picked up a few more sets including this one. Like all the other creatures and mechs in this line this is absolutely adorable, fun for kids to play with, entertaining for the adults, and absolutely ingeniously designed and perfect for hours of imaginative play. The set was not difficult to build, it was time consuming to a point, but any child with any moderate to basic experience with Lego should have no problem at all and the finished product is killer! It has a perfect combo of science fiction/B movie retro cool and future-robot fantasy fun to be appreciated by many!If you are shopping for a child who is interested in nature, insects, robots, science fiction, or anything even remotely similar I would definitely recommend this set. It's a total winner and will bring lots of enjoyment to children in a wide array of age groups! The Galaxy Squad series is a really cool space / alien bug setting with color coded minifigure space people and androids. I love the vibrant setting and the very different alien figures. This set comes with two minifigures: a spaceman and a bug. It also comes with the two spaceships (or bug ship) in the pic. The bug is pretty cool as the pincers come with a band that allows you to control when the open and close. How cool is this set? My two boys have been playing with these guys even though they also have Star Wars, Chima, Ninjago and others. They got this set at the same time as a Lego Movie set and set that aside to play with this. And all the birthday money is being spent on these sets now. It's a winner with kids. The minifigs were good and the build itself was decent. However, some of the pieces broke even thought they were sealed and the price was a but dicey; overall,it be fineThis is a great LEGO set from the Galaxy Squad line. Honestly, I don't think that line-up had a bad set in it, and I believe that this set completed my son's collection of that line.My 7-year-old son finished building the set in about 25 minutes and only needed assistance with the decal application. He is needing less and less help with LEGO sets, and that is fine by me. (As much as I enjoy helping him build his LEGO sets, I also enjoy him growing in independence and carefully following instructions - something many kids DO NOT WANT to do.) I would definitely recommend this set to other kids or their parents.Wow! My six-year-old grandson is a whiz at all kinds of Legos and also loves space themes. So I wanted to get him a challenging Lego set that would keep him occupied for hours. Well, at least an hour! Had it done quickly and even sent me a video on his smartphone. A big smile, a big thank you. Yep, worth the price many times over.I like these "bad guy" themed sets from GS, but the bad guys are flimsy and don't play well, and I would have liked the "good guy" to be a little more significant in this set. No bother though, all in all my 6 year old enjoys playtime with Dad using this one as her "go-to" villan. It is constructed better than most of the "Insectoid" sets from this series, as no long tentacles or arms are easily knocked off during play.LEGO Galaxy squad Is one of my favorite LEGO theme.the LEGO set was great I enjoyed building itBought for my 9 year old nephew for Christmas gift, seemed to go over well. He is just getting to the bigger count piece sets so this one should work well. He is into Star Wars and superheroes so this one seems to fit his liking. It arrived on time & my grandson was very happy with it.havn't open it yet,but looking great.Funcan't go wrong with Lego!
