We purchased this for our son for Christmas who was age 12 at the time. He loves Minecraft and plays the game daily, but he also has a great love for Lego's. So the combination of Lego with Minecraft was a real win-win for him. He is always excited to get a new Lego set and this one was no exception. I love the quality of the Lego products. We really appreciate that they not only are beneficial in helping children use their fine motor skills, but also to promote creativity. Our son has spent hours upon hours builing Lego sets. What is great about the Minecraft sets is that he can recreate new builds based off the game from all the various pieces included in the Minecraft sets...so the possibilities really are endless. He said that the instructions were easy to follow and that he really enjoyed this set. Some have mentioned that they feel it is a bit complicated. As with any of the larger Lego sets, it really just depends on each child individually. If they have been building Lego's for years as our son has, it is a breeze. However, I can see where for a younger child they may require a bit of help or assistance. Just another great way to spend some one on one time with you child, I mean Lego's are fun for adults too! This set includes 634 assorted pieces and included a Steve mini figure as well as 3 Endermen mini figures. It also included two weapons; a sword and a bow, as well as armor and helmet accessories. The measurements of the pieces are accurate as specified in the product listing. The Ender Dragon is a really cool build and is interactive. He has a scale on his back that when you push it, his wings flap. The light up brick on one of the towers is a really neat addition to this already great set.The countless hours of building enjoyment that Lego provides is what makes these sets worth it. With most of the sets, you are given the base Steve character, but this set is special in that you are given the best armor the game has in LEGO form. This was one of the reasons my son loved this set so much so that he was 'prepared' to fight all the monsters from his other sets too.2) Their is a lighted piece! It's a top the tallest pillar and is activated simply by pressing down. How cool is that!3) The Endermen are arguably one of the 'creepiest' characters within the Minecraft universe, and this set included 3. This again was such a great selling point for any Minecraft or LEGO character enthusiast. Their arms are attached to the blocks to ensure they are supported properly though which may turn some people off, but I found it to be quite ok since they pivot up and down still.4) The Enderdragon is amazing! With hinged head and tail parts, and all of the limbs on LEGO pivot pieces, it's quite flexible. Added that you can press a button on the back of the dragon to flap its wings, and you've got one amazing build here that is durable too.Cons:1) After literally decades of purchasing LEGO's for myself and my son, this set was legitimately missing one piece. I've already sent a request to LEGO so it's no fault of Amazon or anyone else, but you have no idea how hard we all looked in our family to determine "where/how" it could be missing (Avid LEGO parents, you know what i'm talking about here!)Bought this as a birthday present for my 10 year old son. He is a Lego and Minecraft fanatic so it seems these two were meant to be! He was ecstatic to get the Ender Dragon set. Being a self proclaimed Lego Master Builder, he had it built in under an hour. He was thrilled to have a light up brick in the set and that the Dragon is interactive (wings flap). He has had the set for a week now and plays with it nearly every day. He has spent hours of imaginative play creating other Minecraft worlds (from other Lego pieces) and using this set in addition to expand his world. He loves taking the Endermen with him where ever we go, claiming they serve him lol. Amazon has the best price by far - top recommendations for this set for you Lego enthusiast!Spent way too much but my 11 yr old was SO happy. His favorite gift. It was just so expensive.Another great addition to my sons' Lego Minecraft world. I had to help with assembly as my oldest is only 6 years old (product designed for 8+). The light brick is a nice addition, as is the ender dragon. Unfortunately, we had several missing pieces and were not able to complete the dragon. Lego is sending the missing pieces at no charge, but my sons are disappointed they can't complete the set until they arrive. Otherwise I would have given this set 5 stars, no other complaints.Awesome set! I bought this for my 6 year old daughter for her birthday. She has quite a few minecraft lego sets now and this was her favorite so far. I do have to help her put them together since she's little, but I myself love Legos and minecraft. It was super easy to build, time consuming, but easy. The instructions are very easy to follow. Most of the building is of the dragon, which is super cool. It has flapping wings and bends everywhere. The tallest beacon post has a part that lights up as well. Next on our list is the Nether Fortress. This set was put together quickly by my 8 year old and he played with it a lot at first, like any toy, but lost interest. I think the price for the set was ridiculously overpriced, but I guess that's how any licensed set is. Gave it four stars because of price, not quality.Awesome set. My son loves it,Hes 8 and was easy for him to put together with out much help This is a must for any minecraft fan.We have many of the Minecraft lego sets. and will defetnly be getting more.Shipping was right on time and box was in perfict condition. The delivery was prompt. Unfortunately there were approximately a dozen pieces missing from one bag. Now I have to go on the lego website and order the dozen pieces that are missing. We have a considerable lego collection so at first we tried to accommodate the missing pieces from our collection but they are unique pieces and small so it turned into a headache. Not pleased at all but I have to say my nephew took it very well all considering.Excellent transaction, my grandson loved it.grandson lovedFast shipping and son loved this! Thank you!
