I have three five year old boys, and they are just now getting into regular sized Legos (until now it's been Duplo). I just don't get what's up with these Lego Creator sets. They are really cool, but very hard to find, and often ridiculously over-priced! Santa got our middle son the T-Rex set via Amazon and it only cost $4.99 plus shipping. Of course, one of my other boys wanted one, so I hopped back on the computer, and could hardly find one. The one I did find cost over $20.00! I did find another set, the Stegosaurus, also on Amazon, but this one cost about $14.99 plus shipping. If it hadn't been a special present, I would not have purchased it at this price, especially having to pay shipping too. These little sets are great, but they are very small. The bags are only about 3" x 5", there are only about 40 pieces (some of them VERY little), and the final put-together figure is only about 2" x 4". Also, the T-Rex set can be reassembled to make another dinosaur, the stegasaurus kit does not do this, to the dismay of my son (because his brother's does, right!?)Anyway, I'm not sure why these aren't more readily available at the $4.99 price, because it seems like they would go like hotcakes. Also, I didn't find them at the official Lego site itself.I only gave the toy three stars for both fun and durability, because the recommended age is 5-10, and for this age kids like toys they can move around and really play with. Because of the small size and parts, these hinges come off easily, etc....and so it can be frustrating for kids on the younger side of the range.I order this item as a Christmas gift. It never got to my son's home. In tracking this item we found the post office had a tracking number that package had been delivered at 1:43 am on December 12, 2013... My son has outdoor security cameras which showed that there was never a delivery at that time! In writing about this lost item, the company which handled and shipped this item is TIMELESS TOYS LCC. They also checked on the item which had been insured and to no avail, the USP was of No Help!! Timeless Toys LCC then did a wonderful favor and sent another one to the child who was to received the first one. This happened to me once before and the I response I received from another company, Sorry, it was lost by the USP and we can't do anything about it.Thank You Timeless Toys LCC for you compassion. This is rare to find in today's worldvery small lego... cool. but small.It's very small, but cute.This is not at all worth the money. It's tiny, will make a dinosaur of maybe 3 to 4 inches (I haven't opened the package because it's a present for my grandson). Definitely very very overpriced!!!!!!! If I hadn't bought it from a vendor in England, I would return it, but it's not worth the expense or the hassle to return it.Legos are awesome and this little set was very well received by my nephew. Enough pieces to be fun to build but not so many that he was overwhelmed. Great birthday gift!This was no bigger than what you get in a happy meal at a fast food place. Pay close attention to details if they are available.Legos were a lot smaller than expected for the priceBrilliant for the child to be able to have a go at creating the dino by themselves. I only had to help my 6 yr old a little bit with it. Looks great when completed and is robust.This is complete waste of money. It is so small - I can't possibly give this as a present for christmas.bought it for my son who loves lego. it's perfect, versatile and very quick to build. great moving parts too.Great for dinosaur fans but a lot smaller than I expected. It is really quite tiny.I have to say how dissapointed I am with this, for what it is it definately is not worth the money... It is so small and expensive for what it is!!!!!
