This is my 7 year old son's top gift desire for Christmas this year. He knows we got it (because he saw the box and instantly knew...we do the 4 gift thing and those gifts are under the tree) and he dreams about it, thinks about it, tries to build it in his head in his waking moments. He is chomping at the bit for this bit of minecraft awesomeness! He just learned how to build a nether portal and is very excited to go over to that world and see these guys in the game, too! I highly recommend this for anyone who has a child who is a minecraft nut....or anyonen who has or knows a boy between the ages of 6 and 45+!My Minecraft and Lego obsessed son tore into this and focused on it until it was complete. Lego and Minecraft are so perfectly compatible, since they're both brick-based. I find them a bit on the expensive side, but aside from cost, I can't complain. Just some advice, buy some large bins for your kids to keep the pieces in while they're building these things. Otherwise, they will lose some parts, making it impossible to finish, and YOU WILL step on some sharp plastic in the night. So your kid loves Lego and Minecraft. How can you possibly combine these two brands into a singular activity? Boom.My 6 year-old built this himself and only consulted me for one tricky bit. Had a blast building it as he always does with Lego and loved playing with it afterward as well. I must admit it bums me out that the Minecraft sets are so simple looking compared to other Lego sets we build together, but that's the Minecraft aesthetic and, let's face it, these brands were absolutely built for each other. My son purchased this Minecraft Lego set with his birthday money and enjoyed building it. When it was finished I thought it lacked the playability of the Lego Minecraft 21118 The Mine set which had a more interactive theme to it with its mine cart and TNT toppling bricks. But it's my son's and not mine and he liked it. Plus it does compliment The Mine set expanding his Lego Minecraft world. ;-)This set was a great addition to my sons' (ages 4 and 6) Lego Minecraft world. My oldest needed some help with assembly but he's only 6 (product is rated for ages 8+). The fact that the ghast actually shoots the little 1x1 lego bricks was a nice touch (but easy to lose the pieces, they shoot pretty far), as well as the glow in the dark "glowstone" bricks. The boys have enjoyed hours of fun with this set, and will continue to do so on many more trips to the Nether! My son was REALLY excited to get this for his birthday, but oddly, there were a bunch of pieces missing, and there was a lot of disappointment and tears shed in trying to build it. LEGO is usually really reliable and good about getting all the pieces in and having great instructions. Not sure why this one was different. Tempting to return it, but it is part built. The box is huge! Very wide so the wow factor is going to be there when she opens it! My daughter loves this whole series & we haven't found a Lego set yet that disappoints. These mine craft sets seem dull for the price until you help put it together & see how much detail & contraptions Lego puts into them, she loves it as much as playing the game but this gets her eyes off of a screen!I got this for my son for Christmas who has been requesting this on his list. He loves his lego and minecraft so it was a great kit for him. My son is good at his lego kits and was able to put this together himself in an afternoon. I like that this kit comes with several characters in this. I personally don't see the appear but my son loves this and it now has pride of place in his room.A Loved toyStart with Minecraft, add Lego and what do you get? A seriously over-priced bunch of tiny hard plastic pieces that hurt like heck when you step on one of them. But I didn't buy it for me did I. No this was a Christmas present for my 6 year old grandson who, when discovering what was hidden within the wrapping paper, practically fainted with excitement and joy. Was it worth $100? For that reaction, definitely. My kid loved it! Sat down and completed the entire project in one afternoon. Every parent can appreciate a little quiet time while their kid does something productive.Great toy as always ! Too expensive as always ! Minecraft people you need to slow down your horses...Your brand is way way way overpriced and overrated !!!Metto 4 stelle solo perché il prezzo è davvero alto e a naso mi aspettavo una costruzione più "estesa" ma il gioco è bellissimo.
