My grandson was thrilled with this he says it is the best and easy to assemble the sea plane. The details are very authentic. My husband loved it.GreatGood set.The Seaplane is a nice, colorful, and easy to build Lego set. There's only 102 pieces and it took me about 20 minutes to build. For the price, it's worth picking up.This is a very nice little set that certainly sits well in the 'gift' category of Lego products; good value for money and not reliant on other models. The build won't give young owners too many problems, although it has to be said that, like a lot of sets these days, the instructions don't always convey well (in the eyes of a child) which way round certain types of bricks/components are.Inside the plane you have a cockpit that seats one person, and the pilot in question is included. Behind him, you have a well designed storage space that is big enough for his black travel case. It isn't clear what this guy's up to, but he just looks like a private owner who's fortunate enough to have the freedom of a seaplane (in Lego City at least!).Some stickers are included and, as is the typical way, they are best applied with tweezers... However, the plane looks just as good without them so rather than following the instructions and placing the stickers during the build, just wait till the end and see what you think.Although the design and build is very straightforward, I'm not that keen on the use of Technic pins to hold the two pontoons on the underside of the plane, as it leaves a a slightly 'rocky'/loose connection between the fuselage and the pontoons. This is only being picky of course, but I would have thought that traditional System bricks could have easily done a good as - if not better - job than the one used.Regardless, this is on sale at a fantastic price is a no-brainer addition to your Lego City harbour.I brought this for my nephews birthday and helped him build it. I havent played with lego for many years and it brought back many fond memories.Little has changed with many pieces still identical as they were many years ago, but at the same time the advances in shapes means amazing models can be built. The product was a good size (bigger than expected) and easy to put together. The instructions simple and clear to read and the fun factor out of this world. Will be getting my old lego out and having more fun later!I purchased this as a birthday present for a little boy whom had invited my daughter to his birthday party. I think lego is perfect for this event as what little person does not enjoy lego. Dispatch was super quick, however I am unable to coment on the quality of this item as it was not opened by myself, although the box was small and with previous experience with lego you can be paying for the name and not the quantity in the box. However every little helps to build a collection of lego.Good lego kit with no bricks; good instructions aimed at right age group for the kit in Q.Only bug-bear is that Lego should level their prices across the range and on the Technical level off some kits that are for younger aim and less technical and can be used as a build up to the more senior technical level.Okay so I am not an expert on LEGO but I found this was way too small for the price it paid. I guess this will teach me to purchase late Christmas presents from Amazon! It took a while to build which I think distracted from the point. Once built it hasn't got much use on its own but my nepthew has enjoyed it as part of his collection.
