This was such a nice build. It took about 4-5 days to build, which was much shorter than I expected. As usual, Lego products have the fit and finish that sets them apart from everyone else. Let’s face it, they invented this market. So, why would you want to buy this race car? Because, you’re a “race fan”, and you love things that look cool and go fast! I didn’t think that I would like the color when I bought it. Afterwards, I reconsidered, and now I think that it might be one of the best color schemes that I have ever seen (with the exception of the Wolfbush 1967 Gurney American Eagle F1 car that I have reviewed). When I got done with this model, I was so impressed! It has a torque wheel that you turn to open the gull-wing doors, and then you move a lever, and the same torque wheel opens the rear engine hatch. Very Cool! The suspension is cool to build and to look at, and it works like a swiss watch. I have purchased some other models in this same Le Mans space, and I don’t know what they will be like, but this model is “best in class”. Even if you don’t know anything about race cars, or the 24 hours of Le Mans race, you will like this model. Just looking at this model educates you about the technology behind Le Mans cars, and the fact that they direct the consumer car market. This car educates and informs and looks so good on display! But it!
